The department

Our specialist team guides employers on the design and implementation of incentive arrangements and advises on the consequences of leavers and other changes in circumstances (both from a legal and tax perspective) in relation to all forms of employee incentive schemes.

Accountabilities

We are looking for a talented lawyer to expand our Employee Incentives practice.

You will be looking to develop your career and work with a friendly team in an exciting firm.

You will have experience of advising in relation to the taxation of employment-related securities and in the preparation and implementation of both approved and unapproved share plans.

You will be advising on all aspects of employee remuneration structures and incentive plans, including the design, implementation and communication of:

  1. senior executive and employee share incentive plans;
  2. cash based long term incentives advising on deferral and clawback provisions
  3. employee benefit trusts.  
The candidate

You will be particularly well versed in helping clients to determine the most appropriate incentive for their business and be able to structure bespoke and innovative arrangements to align with your client’s business plans and objectives. 

You will also support our well established corporate team in relation to the operation of incentive plans in the context of mergers and acquisitions and flotations. 

You will be confident to discuss objectives and present your advice in a clear and concise style whilst demonstrating commercial awareness and an understanding of our client’s business. 

You will have excellent personal skills, be collaborative and co-operative and be able to assist the Partner leading the team to successfully develop and nurture junior colleagues.

You will be ambitious and keen to work in a fast growing team and a fast growing firm, interest in leadership development training will be important to this role.
